How do I store my Sake?

To keep you sake fresh as—, pop it in the fridge for storage until you’re ready to sip and enjoy. Make sure it’s not exposed to light or heat.

The Toji (Master Brewer) recommend drinking your sake within a year of its brewing.

What if I'm unhappy with my SakeBox?

Don’t worry, we’ve got your back.

We believe in providing a risk-free Sake tasting experience. If you have problems placing your order, delivery or are not completely satisfied with your SakeBox, please contact us and we will attempt to resolve your concerns.

I changed my mind. Can I get a refund?

Yes. You can request a refund anytime before the cut-off period and before we commence delivery.

How long will delivery take?

For SakeBox Club, delivery occurs in the second week of every calendar month.

For SakeBox Gifts, we require 1 to 3 business days to process your order and prepare it for delivery.

Once shipped, delivery takes:

  • 3 to 7 business days to most major cities in Australia.
  • 7 to 10 business days to Western Australia, Northern Territory and Northern Queensland.
Is SakeBox available in my country?

To maintain high customer service levels, SakeBox currently only ships to Australia.

Memberships
What Sakes will I receive?

Your membership gives you exclusive access to sample hundreds of Sakes from different breweries all over Japan. We feature a new Sake every month giving you a chance to taste different Sakes every time.

When do I get my Monthly SakeBox?

Your SakeBox subscription comes the second week of every calendar month.

Once shipped, delivery takes:

  • 3 to 7 business days to most major cities in Australia.
  • 7 to 10 business days to Western Australia, Northern Territory and Northern Queensland.
When will I be charged for my membership?

You will be charged for your first SakeBox one you place the order at Checkout.

Regular billing is charged monthly on the same day you signed up.

Can I order multiple subscriptions?

Of course, you can.

Simply change the quantity of the subscription you require in the Cart and go through checkout as normal.

Can I order a subscription as a gift?

But of course!

Make sure to let us know who to address the gift subscription to in the shipping address.

Can I specify an end date for my membership?

You can arrange a fixed-term membership by specifying details during Checkout. Simply add a note to your order details. You can also contact us at any time and set an end date for your SakeBox Membership.

How do I pause or cancel my membership?

Your membership can be paused or cancelled at any time by contacting us via orders@sakebox.com.au or through the SakeBox Members area.

Gifts
Can I place larger orders for corporate gifts, wholesale or events?

Sure thing! Thank you for thinking of SakeBox for your corporate gifts and/or wholesale orders.

Can I order a subscription as a gift?

But of course!

Make sure to let us know who to address the gift subscription to in the shipping address.

Can I get a gift as well as a subscription?

Sure can. You can mix and match as you please!

Can I order a Gift Voucher or a Gift Card?

Yes, of course!

Our giftcards are called SAKE-DORU and you can get them by heading over to SakeBox Gift Cards.

How does the SAKE-DORU giftcard work?

1 SAKE-DORU = AUD$1. 

SAKE-DORU can be used towards any product online at SakeBox.com.au.

TO SEND A SAKE-DORU GIFTCARD:

  1. Choose an amount
  2. Tell us who it’s for
  3. Confirm and send
  • You will get a confirmation and your recipient will get their SAKE-DORU via email with a redemption code and your personal message.

TO REDEEM A SAKE-DORU GIFTCARD:

  1. Save the code found in the email
  2. Choose any SakeBox Gift or Club Membership
  3. Enter your code at checkout in the coupon field (where it says, “Have a coupon? Click here to enter your code”).
  • Your SAKE-DORU is valid for 36 months from the issue date. The expiration is found in the giftcard email.
  • If you place an order for more than your SAKE-DORU, you just need to pay the balance as normal at checkout.
  • If you place an order for less than your SAKE-DORU, the balance can be redeemed another time and is valid until the original expiration date.
  • Discount codes cannot be used towards the purchase of SAKE-DORU giftcards.
Do you offer gift wrapping?

Don’t worry, we’ve got your back.

We have a thing for beautiful packaging. Each SakeBox is lovingly wrapped by hand and comes to you gift—ready. All you have to do is take all the credit!

Can I add a personal message?

Sure thing.

We can add a personal gift note for you at no extra charge. Simply enter your message in the Order Notes field at checkout and we’ll take care of the rest.

What's in a Gift SakeBox?

Your lucky recipient will receive your selection of SakeBox along with detailed tasting notes. The sake comes beautifully wrapped in cloth furoshiki and packaged in a gift-ready box.
